When you are in the outdoors adventuring, you will burn much more energy than on a usual day at home. Recommendations vary and depend on many factors like your weight, height, fitness, how heavy your backpack is, the time you are walking and how steep the track is for example. In general, you can easily burn 500-1000 calories more per day.
The portion size for the main meals can be very individual. You know yourself best so please feel free to add more wraps, crackers, tuna, peanut butter, smoothies, dinner complements, etc. and check out all of our trail food.
We know that many of us love snacking while walking and everybody has their own preferences. This is why we purposefully left some room in regard to the calorie intake (compared to the common daily recommendation) so you can add all your favourite snacks, treats and ‘fun food’ yourself.
