How much food do I need? How much energy will I burn?
When you are in the outdoors adventuring, you will burn much more energy. Recommendations vary and depend on many factors like your weight, height, fitness, how heavy your backpack is, the time and elevation you are walking. You can easily burn over 500-1000 calories more per day.
The portion size for meals can be very individual. You know best yourself so please feel free to add more wraps, crackers, tuna, peanut butter, smoothies, dinner complements, and check out our trail food section.
Snacks & Treats
Treats are essential and many of us love snacking while walking. However, everybody has their own preferences. This is why we have not included any in our boxes so you can add all your favourite snacks, treats and ‘fun food’ yourself.
- Do you like coffee or a hot chocolate in the morning?
- Don’t forget to pack your favourite chocolate block or lollies!
- Do you rather prefer snacking dried fruit or nuts?
- Have you ever tried OSM, Bumper or Weka bars?
- Are you a dessert person? We’ve got dehydrated chocolate cake pudding and more 😋
