We hope this map simplifies your understanding of where to send re-supply boxes. 
 
The drop points in the South Island are in remote locations with limited re-supply options. If you do not send a parcel to them you will be forced to hitch-hike away from the trail, costing you time and unexpected town expenses. 
You can find more information about shipping times here.
 
Please note that you have to pay a small fee to the parcel holders when you pick up your box. Carry cash on you to be able to pay this fee.
 
However, for parcels sent to Boyle River – the holding fee must be paid online and advance. Therefore, we will pay this on your behalf and invoice you after. 
MAKE SURE YOU PAY THIS INVOICE TO ENSURE YOUR PARCEL IS DELIVERED :-).

Waikato

Taumaranui: Hikumutu Valley Lodge – 874 Hikumutu Road, RD2, Hikumutu, Taumarunui, 3992
Estimated delivery costs for parcels 5kg-8kg: around $20-30

 

Te Tau Ihu – Marlborough/ Te Tai o Aorere – Tasman

Havelock Holiday Park – 24 Inglis Street, Havelock, Marlborough 7100
Estimated delivery costs for parcels 5kg-8kg: around $10-15.

Pelorus Bridge Campsite – 5949 SH 6, Pelorus Bridge, Marlborough 7192
Fee is $10/parcel. Cash/eftpos on pick up in the office if you arrive before 3pm. Otherwise prepay. Please have a look at the Trail Notes for instructions. 
Estimated delivery costs for parcels 5kg-8kg: around $15.

St. Arnaud Alpine Lodge – 75 Main Rd, St Arnaud, Tasman 7072
They will charge you $15/$20 per parcel depending on size. You pay when you pick it up.
Estimated delivery costs for parcels 5kg-8kg: around $15-20.

Boyle River Outdoor Education Centre – Private Bag 55002, Harewood, Canterbury 8051 
Please use this address when checking out. Parcel registration and payment are required in advance. We will do this for you. We send you an invoice for their fee of $35/parcel. After you pay, we send you a confirmation email for the parcel registration. Super easy for you 🙂
This location is very remote. All postage is collected in Christchurch and only delivered once or twice a week. Please order in advance to ensure your parcel will arrive on time.
Estimated delivery costs for parcels 5kg-8kg: around $5-10.

 

Waitaha – Canterbury

Arthur’s Pass Mountain House – 84 West Coast Road, Arthur’s Pass, Canterbury 7875
You pay a $20 cash on arrival.

Lake Coleridge Village: The Powerhouse Lodge – 114 Hummocks Rd, Lake Coleridge, Canterbury 7572
Open from late November for TA Walkers (you can camp here for $25/tent or $35/bunk)

Murihiku – Southland

You pay a fee on arrival.

Can't find a drop point?

We are working on expanding our network of drop points and welcome any feedback, ideas and new locations. While we try to think ahead to make it as easy and practical for you as possible, we appreciate all the input you may have. 

If you can’t find a drop point in any remote area that you need, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would love to support you and try to organize a location that will work for you.
